Membership is based on a calendar year and runs from January 1, 2012 - December 31, 2012*. You may join at any time during the year to begin receiving AUTM benefits. Memberships are non-transferable.

Student Membership
Applicants for student
membership must attach proof of status; i.e., letter from advisor. A
person who is a full-time student or fellow in an institution of higher
education, or a resident in a resident-training program at a teaching
hospital, whose educational experience involves activities relating
either directly or indirectly to the administration of the
institution’s intellectual property.
Electronic Membership
Available to individuals who reside or work in developing economies.
Benefits include: access to all member areas of the AUTM website,
receive email announcements, view AUTM updates, and participate in AUTM
committees and special interest groups. Membership is accepted by online
payment only. It does not provide member discounts to the annual
meeting, region meetings, distance learning courses, job postings and
marketplace purchases.
Emeritus Membership
Emeritus Membership in the Association for University Technology
Managers is an honor. It recognizes distinguished service, professional
achievements and meritorious contributions to the technology transfer
profession. AUTM members may request, or be nominated for Emeritus
Member status. To be eligible for emeritus membership the member must be
retired from full-time employment and have been a member in good
standing for at least 15 years. Members Emeritus: a) shall be entitled
to one vote, in person or by written proxy, at all meetings of the
membership; b) shall be eligible to serve on any committee as a voting
member of the committee; c) shall be eligible to vote on motions
proposed in regular and special Association meetings or in any election
of Board of Trustee Members; d) shall be eligible to serve on the Board
of Trustees; and e) shall not pay dues. Emeritus membership shall be
awarded for the life of the member. Request an Emeritus Member
application.
* All memberships are due for renewal as of October 1 of each year.
